This has taken me a while to complete as I wasn’t at all sure in what direction to take it. To me, it is a bit scruffy as I kept dipping in and out and didn’t quite get a flow going. It was an interesting challenge which, in the end, worked fairly well.

One cat, two portraits! A work colleague asked me if I would draw her cat, Chilli. She was so excited when I showed her the cartoon picture first that I almost didn’t need to have done the main illustration! She loved them both. Which was nice.

I am siting on a fallen tree in a small area of alder carr near Hitchin. I have cycled passed it many times but never stopped to look at it in detail, now, on a bright and warm spring day I push my bike down off the road through young nettles to observe it more closely.
